Hazelnut Milk-Coffee and Aren Sugar

I made this drink twice and it’s soooo refreshing

(This picture is just for illustration. I haven’t taken a newer picture because the drink is always finished before I took picture. haha. That picture was taken before I measure the ingredients, especially the coffee. The old color is lighter than if you make this recipe below. Will replace the picture later once I have taken the new picture)

This is the recipe:

2 tbs Hazelnut Syrup

1 tbs Palm Sugar pure syrup/ Liquid Palm Sugar.

150-160 ml     White Milk

3-4 Ice Cubes

50 ml coffee (made of 2  tbs instant coffee, add hot water until 400 ml).

Notes:

  1. I always make the 400ml coffee in advance and put it in refrigerator. So, when I make this drink, the temperature is just right, not melting the ice too quickly.
  2. Liquid Palm Sugar is pure palm sugar that is made liquid, not powder or other dense form.
  3. Some cafe, mix the palm sugar with hazelnut syrup and pour it. It makes the palm sugar more watery.
  4. Every hazelnut syrup brand and liquid palm sugar can have different taste as well as ‘sweetness’. Please adjust accordingly.
  5. Size of ice cubes can affect the taste. I didn’t weigh it. I use standard size of ice cubes mold as always included in refrigerator when we buy it. If your ice cubes is bigger, you can use only 3. If you want to make ‘standard’, you have to adjust this one accordingly and use this kind of ice cube size each time you want to make this drink.
  6. Ice cubes has effect in terms of how watery you want your drink is. So, be careful and do experiment about this.

Making:

Prepare a glass for 300ml drink at least.

Pour in the glass according to the order of the ingredients.

  1. Pour in hazelnut syrup.
  2. Add Liquid Palm Sugar.
  3. Add Milk.
  4. Pour in the ice cubes.
  5. Add Coffee above the ice cubes.

You have to add coffee above the ice cubes, so that the presentation of the drink is pretty. The ice will create a shield to prevent the coffee mixed automatically with the milk.
